1776 D Street, Washington DC, Continental Congress, June 2006
Continental Congress is the annual national meeting of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. It is named after the original Continental Congress which governed the American Colonies during the years of the American Revolution.
The historical and patriotic objectives of NSDAR, as laid forth at its founding more than 100 years ago, are to perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who achieved American Independence, to cherish, maintain, and extend the institutions of American freedom, to foster true patriotism and love of country, and to aid in securing for mankind all the blessings of liberty. Lofty goals indeed!
