Old Granary Burial Ground is the first stop on the Freedom Trail. Many prominent figures of the Revolutionary War era are buried here; among them are Samuel Adams, John Hancock, and Paul Revere. Also interred here are Benjamin Franklin’s parents, Josiah and Abiah Franklin, and his uncle “Benjamen” Franklin. Other residents of interest are patriot Paul Revere’s father, Paul Revere, Sr. the namesake of Mother Goose, Elizabeth Goose. Park Street Church can be seen in the background of this photograph.
